Flowers & Decorations
Ornaments and decorations are essential to create an atmosphere at any celebration. Flowers set the course throughout your wedding. They decorate the house, the car, the ceremony venue, the reception venue, the bridesmaids’ hairstyle, but above all the bride’s hair and her traditional Bouquet.
The choice and composition of floral arrangements is an art that does not just require straightforward good taste, but also skill and experience. The style of the floral compositions must complement the venue, and it is also appropriate that the floral arrangements for different places go together well in order to create a single dominate choreography that characterises the whole wedding.
The choice of floral arrangements therefore depends on a range of factors. The main factors are:
| - |
 |
the venue to be decorated (style, architecture, spaces, natural and artificial light etc.); |
| - |
 |
the personality and taste of the Bride&Groom; |
| - |
 |
the type and style of the ceremony (formal/informal civil, solemn religious, classic or informal symbolic etc.); |
| - |
 |
the colour of the bride’s dress (different tones of white); |
| - |
 |
the time of year when the wedding is taking place (even if the YIW vendors are able to find all types of flowers, even those that are not in season, thanks to greenhouse growing. Therefore, those who would like to get married surrounded by sunflowers and daisies don’t have to wait for the summer, or the spring for poppies and peonies); |
| - |
 |
the meanings that are commonly associated with particular flowers. |
In organising the floral arrangements and other decorations, YIW will:
| - |
 |
help the Bride&Groom in choosing decorative solutions and floral arrangements that are best for your wedding; |
| - |
 |
provide samples and photos as examples of floral creations; |
| - |
 |
manage and compose the overall floral choreography (home, car/carriage, ceremony venue, reception venue, hairstyles, Bouquet); |
| - |
 |
recruit the appropriate florist in good time; |
| - |
 |
coordinate the florist’s actions in their methods and timing, from the moment of inspecting the venues to the actual wedding day. |
